Customer Points loyalty program
Tellody’s Customer Points is a simple, easy to understand, customer loyalty program.
Customers are collecting points based on their purchases.
Upon reaching a specific point limit, they will get a reward and the relevant reward points will be subtracted from their profile.
A simple scenario would be to give to your customers one point for every Euro spent in your shop. When they reach 100 points their reward will be a 5€ gift card for your shop. Then the 100 points will be subtracted from your customers’ profile.
This is how the Tellody's Customer Points loyalty program is working:
More information can be found here.
Before you start
Before you start configuring Tellody you should have a solid idea about what you are going to offer to your customers.
You should be able to answer the following questions:
- What one point means for my Customer Points loyalty program?
- What my reward level should be?
- What my reward should be?
- What communication channel shall I use? Email or SMS?
Regarding the first question, we are strongly suggesting to use one point for every Euro or Dollar spent in your shop.
If a customer spends 54€, you add 54 points to his/hers account. If he/she spends 37€ you add 37. Simple and easily understood by your customers and employees.
Adding one point for every Euro or Dollar spent is the most efficient strategy
Regarging reward level and the actual rewards, our opinion is to be generous with your customers. At least as generous you would like them to be with you.
Reward often and reward good
Customers are looking into simple procedures and many rewards.
Avoid product samples and other unappealing rewards. Keep your reward level low and offer something your customers will crave. If your loyalty program requires that customers spend heavily only to be rewarded with meager discounts and cheap samples, you're doing it wrong.
The way to go is to show customers their value to your brand by offering a loyalty program that's so good that only a fool will ignore.
A working point redemption algorithm is to give back at least 5% of what your customer is spending on you. This means that if a customer spends 100€, you have to return him something of 5€ value at the lowest.
Regarding the communication channel, SMS is more direct and has better open rate BUT it comes with an extra cost. In Tellody you need credits to send text messages. Before starting any loyalty program using SMS, learn about Tellody's credits here.
Tellody's Configuration
To have the Customer Points running for your shop or organization you will have to configure the following services to Tellody:
