Credits

All Tellody accounts support the Send SMS service. Due to charges imposed by mobile network providers the SMS you send have a cost and thus, a credit bundle is required for SMS sending.

Credits are needed for SMS campaigns

The credit cost per SMS vary in price from country to country. Use our online tool to view SMS cost by country basis.

Credit Procurement

You can buy a bundle or an exact amount of credits at the Credits & Payments page. Navigate there by clicking on the Credits button on the top right of the navigation bar

SMS Campaigns

At any point of your SMS campaign configuration the projected cost (in credits) of your Campaign is displayed on the left top of the Campaign Set Up page

The calculation of the overall cost considers the following

• MSISDNs of the target list (actual size of the list and countries of SMS termination)
• SMS length

In general, the global character limit of a single SMS is 160 characters. A display for the length of your SMS is right next to the cost display

If your SMS exceeds 160 characters the message will be send but the mobile network providers will double the charge and this will be immediately reflected on the overall cost

The SMS editor provides, on its bottom right corner, real-time information regarding the length of your message

In case your credits' balance is less than the overall cost of the Campaign the platform will not allow its execution

Before the execution of your Campaign you will be prompted once more with all the essential information and you will be asked to confirm its creation

Credit Reservation

In case you schedule the execution of an SMS campaign some time in the future then the respective credits for this campaign are reserved and will be subtracted in advance from your credit balance

Tellody reserves the credits for future scheduled campaigns in order to allow the smooth deployment of your campaign strategy

You can view the reserved credits per campaign from the Credits & Payments page by clicking on the Reservations tab.

Customer Journey

If you have chained campaigns for a customer journey, Tellody will calculate the estimated cost for the whole journey and will reserve the respective credits.

Suppose you want to implement the following complex journey

Tellody will calculate the projected cost for the whole interactive chain (here there are three Event SMS campaigns) and upon execution will reserve all the associated credits.

At the campaign configuration level, you can view if your campaign is involved on a customer journey through the messages per participant display

Else, click on the Customer Journey button in the top menu of the Set Up page

This will expand the Journey map viewer

Credits Balance
